Adrian Farrell
Adrian offers his clients present, embodied, therapeutic deep tissue work. He is informed by a specialized study in the right use of body mechanics, structure, and pressure which translates into a massage experience that incorporates firm, consistent compression and targeted treatment applications that are both nourishing and elicit lasting change. Through soft tissue techniques, postural assessment, and range of motion, he addresses everything from chronic tension patterns to acute injury recovery.
Adrian listens to his clients and encourages them to engage with their own healing intentions, fostering a safe therapeutic space for collaboration and empowerment. With his attuned presence and deep tissue techniques, he often finds the edge of discomfort to promote physical change while also coaching clients to find breath and ease within, creating an environment in which the nervous system can regulate, build resiliency, and develop greater ease inside and out.
An avid lifetime athlete, Adrian understands first hand the demands of high intensity performance including downhill skiing, track sports, team sports, swimming, and weight training. His dedicated meditation practice of 25 years deeply informs his level of attentiveness and invites clients to join him in present moment, somatic awareness. During the past decade, Adrian has developed further skills in relationship and communication coaching specifically focusing on nonviolent communication and mindfulness counseling through Hakomi Somatic Psychotherapy. Through his multi-modality, adaptive sessions Adrian is able to holistically meet each client where they are, addressing and supporting their recovery, health, and wellness goals.
When not in the studio, you may find Adrian bicycling the streets of Portland, hiking with his wife, soaking in his cold plunge, or nestled on his meditation cushion with his cat, Meadow.
