Sophie Howard

Sophie has been practicing massage therapy since 2017, specializing in Relaxation, Deep Tissue, and Thai Massage. Sophie’s work is typically a fusion of techniques depending on what you are hoping to accomplish. With a strong knowledge of kinesiology, anatomy, and the energetic body, she focuses on helping improve mobility, circulation, chronic pain, acute pain, athletic performance, nervous system relaxation and self-care practices to help you feel great between sessions.

Her aim is to help you feel your best from the inside out and that starts with a calm nervous system. To accomplish this she creates a calming atmosphere by being present with you and your body. Listening closely to ensure you feel safe and supported every step of the way. She will use techniques such as trigger point therapy, stretches, and heat to facilitate a session that will have you feeling like a new person.

Sophie is has expertise in treating headaches/migraines and TMJ. She will use trigger point therapy in the neck muscles, scalp, face, shoulders and chest to help with any headache and jaw symptoms.

If you are seeking a deep stretch then she encourages you to sign up for a Thai Massage. Thai Massage is an ancient practice that is performed with the client clothed on a Thai mat. It incorporates stretching and compression of the meridian lines and trigger points to create more mobility and relaxation within the body.

Sophie is also knowledgeable when it comes to prenatal massage, so if you are expecting a little one you will be in good hands. Wherever you may be, you can count on Sophie to give you a therapeutic massage that will help you relieve tension, stress, and help your body feel more at ease.

Apart from her massage practice, Sophie lives a fruitful and adventurous life. She loves immersing herself in new cultures by traveling overseas, soaking in the beautiful nature of the PNW, or creating art by some roses while drinking fresh coffee. She also takes lots of time each week to ensure proper self-care so she can show up for her clients, relationships and herself with a full cup. By practicing self care herself, she is able to educate others on ways they can be kinder and reconnect to their bodies in this fast-paced world.

Sophie will not discriminate against any sex, race, gender or religion. This is a safe space for all walks of life.

“Sophie did an amazing job!! I felt very comfortable and relaxed the entire time. She talked to me about any problem areas I wanted to work on, but still made it an overall blissful and relaxing experience- highly recommended!!”

“I’ve never let anyone touch my neck before as it is so fragile, but with Sophie I just feel like I am in good hands. I feel very safe with her to drop in and connect with my body. She is very experienced and intuitive and I leave each time feeling so much better, especially as someone who works constantly and is at a desk. Already excited for my next session!”
— Linda K

”I booked a Thai massage with Sophie and it was amazing!! Highly recommend it. I had never had a Thai massage before and it was exactly what I needed. My body was hurting from the last few months of a new physical labor job, even though I consistently stretched, I felt stiff & achy. The morning after the massage was the first time feeling relieved and not having to hear my body sound like popcorn. Can’t wait for the next appointment”
